This small little town is tourist friendly and can be easily explored on foot. The focal point of the town is the shady and bustling Plaza del Charco. On the west is the old quarter of the town and as you venture further, you will find beautiful black volcanic sand beaches before arriving at the world class animal park – Loro Park.
Heading the opposite direction on the east are shops, restaurants and hotel complexes along the pleasant seafront promenade. Puerto de la Cruz is also a fantastic base for hiking excursions to explore the laurel forests of the Anaga mountain range and to Mount Teide, Spain’s highest mountain.

Sothis La Paz
There are two locations where you can learn Spanish with Sothis in Puerto de la Cruz. The first school is situated in La Paz – a beautiful and quiet part of the town which offers fantastic views of the sea. There are shops, restaurants, hotels and apartment complexes within immediate vicinity of the school.
